Alara Capital launched its first venture fund, Guggenheim Technology Ventures I (GTV1), in 2008 while operating as Guggenheim Venture Partners (GVP). Since then, GTV1 has made investments in nine technology companies and is performing well. In 2011, Alara spun-out of Guggenheim into a new private equity and venture capital firm unaffiliated with Guggenheim (<more>). Today, Alara Capital continues to manage GTV1, a fund in which Guggenheim is one of the largest limited partners.
